The First Joyful Mystery-The Annunciation

You may read each meditation before each Hail Mary as below or all together before commencing the Hail Mary's

OUR Father, Who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done; on earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil.  Amen.

i)          "The Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a Virgin named Mary."    (Luke 1:26)

HAlL Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

ii)         "He said: 'Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee.'  " (Luke 1:28)

iii)        "Mary was deeply disturbed and asked herself what this greeting could mean."    (Luke 1:29)

 GLORY be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

O   MY Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need of thy mercy.
